On Friday, Priyanka Chopra, an American actor, met with US Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House to discuss reforming America's gun laws, equal pay for women, and abortion restrictions. At the Women's Leadership Forum hosted by the Democratic National Committee in Washington, DC, the actor served as moderator.

She began by mocking men who treat women like objects. When she realised the room was silent, she asked rhetorically, "Do you hear that sound?" There will be no more mansplaining from here on out. A female actor told Harris that this year was the first time in her 22 years in the business that she was paid the same as a male co-star.

The 40-year-old star's already gilded cap has been further adorned by a recent fruitful conversation with US VC Harris. The star of The White Tiger, who was wearing a bright yellow dress, opened the discussion by criticising men who show disrespect toward women. Upon noticing the dead silence, she joked, "Do you hear that sound?" That, ladies and gentlemen, is the sound of no mansplaining. The two women shared their thoughts on current abortion legislation. It was earlier this month that Vice President Joe Biden made a promise that if two more Democrats were elected to the US Senate in the upcoming midterm elections on November 8, the Democrats would pass a law making abortion legal in all cases. After the Supreme Court's June decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which overturned the right to abortion established almost 50 years earlier in Roe v. Wade, abortion has become a major issue for voters across the country.

During their conversation, Vice President Harris urged the most powerful Democratic women to do everything in their power to protect reproductive rights. While Priyanka makes progress on her tasks, Nick Jonas watches Malti in New York.
